Three Moments.

There will always be three moments stuck in Peter’s memory.

Gay culture was expanding, and the world had discovered the word bi-curious. But for Peter there was just James’s tongue running around his lips and into his mouth, steady Chaser hands running themselves over him to do all the things Peter had dreamed of, and some he hadn’t dared to.

Even as his hand lands in the cauldron with a soft splash, he can’t help letting out a yell. He quietens it, promising himself he will be strong – for his Lord if not himself. He reminds himself that this act hurts him less than putting the knife to Harry’s skin.

James’s eyes widened, but he didn’t ask why; he knew. Peter awaited the green light, the release from agony and Him – but nothing came. “I could defeat him, I’m sure of it,” James muttered, and suddenly Peter feared his overconfidence as he never had before. “I’ll make you Secret Keeper.”

Death is rushing towards him in the shape of Harry Potter, but he is a Gryffindor and this time he will stand and fight.
